MS interferes with many functions – from those related to senses through mobility to coordination and balance. Sexuality of patients is also negatively affected. Sexual problems may include problems with maintenance of erection, achieving ejaculation or sensation disturbances.
MS Societies show that up to 90% of males suffering from Multiple Sclerosis present with some form of sexual impairment.
Unfortunately, sexual problems are often overlooked. One has to remember that erectile dysfunction has an adverse influence not only on sexual performance but also on patient's general health state. Potency problems are often a symptom of other diseases, just to mention atherosclerosis, hypertension or diabetes.
Medicine has made a considerable advance in treating ED in the last 10 years. Men with problems to obtain or maintain erection may receive effective help from specialists who are in possession of successful treatment methods.
