Part of our mission is research. Last September we started talks about direct cooperation with Professor Zamboni. A very important study is underway. We are currently in the process of launching an AMEDS Centrum trial on CCSVI, and we are included in an international trial which is planned to start in late March.
Our CCSVI clinic is constantly searching for opportunities to improve its knowledge of CCSVI procedure. Our doctors take part in conferences and symposiums about Multiple Sclerosis and CCSVI around the world.
In diagnostics we use Zamboni’s Gold for the evaluation of CCSVI and specially designed protocols for Doppler/ultrasound and the MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imagining) examination.
We use the highest quality equipment and modern technology for both diagnostics and CCSVI procedure. The procedures are performed on an angiograph with software enabling digital subtraction angiography and quantitative vessel analysis. We have recently purchased a second angiograph – the most advanced and safest device available on the market - the latest model of Philips with the most advanced vascular software.
We continuously investigate new devices. AMEDS Centrum uses “MyLabVinco"; Premium Echo Doppler Ultrasound System, which is the only product available on the market designed specifically for the diagnosis of CCSVI. We have introduced high pressure balloons and we implement cutting balloons in treatment of CCSVI. We have initiated intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) examination in CCSVI.
AMEDS Centrum has a team of highly dedicated physicians with experience in cardiology, endovascular treatment, neurology, internal diseases, radiology, pain management, and anesthesiology.
We have an extraordinary neurologist and a pain management doctor on board. The thorough examination and insight of which has been praised by all our patients as unique.
Our interventional cardiologists have had extensive experience in treating all types of venous problems. Our entire medical team consists only of highly professional and superbly qualified medical specialists. All our doctors speak English, some of them speak French.
