ESAOTE and AMEDS Centrum - the Doppler mini-trial

ESAOTE, the producer of „MyLabVinco”, the best Doppler-Ultrasound equipment available on the market, has recently sent their leading engineers to AMEDS Centrum in order to perform a mini-trial.

The specific goal of the conducted trial was to evaluate the effects of Liberation Treatment by examining the veins of the patients before, during and immediately after the procedure. The exercise’s objective is to perfect the only diagnostic system on the market dedicated to the diagnosis of CCSVI.

Together with one of AMEDS’ Radiology Specialist - Dr. Beata Dziedzic, the experts from ESAOTE carried out Doppler examination prior to and after treatment on a small group of patients.

Cutting balloons at AMEDS Centrum

We would like to inform you that we have successfully introduced the use of cutting balloons.

Cutting balloon is an angioplasty balloon catheter equipped with small blades attached to its surface. This is a new device developed for use in endovascular treatment of stenotic vessels. It acts by cutting the stenosis or occlusion when  balloon is being inflated.

Evidence showed that using cutting balloons may improve the effect of treatment, decrease the risk of restenosis and reduce intraoperative trauma of healthy tissue. For best results balloon with cutting blades is used together with standard balloon catheters during the angioplasty. This technique can also be beneficial in cases of hardened or calcified occlusion when standard balloons alone, may not be as effective in restoring patency.
